Our CEO's love for hair started at a very young age. She would accompany her grandmother to the beauty salon every Saturday, and I do mean every single Saturday! That was years of observing hairstylists create different looks. She fell in love with every curl, flip and smile of the client once their hair was completed. From then on, hair became her passion. She began to educate herself and train in cutting, coloring, hair textures, chemical mechanics of hair, lace and lace products. Substantial Beauty was then born and is growing everyday!

I wanted something for my brand that represents the beauty of being BIG, boastful & bodacious much like myself. Elephants are associated with good fortune, strength & prosperity, the foundation of Substantial Beauty. I like to incorporate plants for the meaning of life, growth and being grounded & that's, that, on that!
